The effectiveness of high visibility garments diminishes when they become dirty or
faded. It is essential for workers to conduct regular checks on their garments to
ensure they are clean and vibrant. The reflective tape strips should be in good
condition, without signs of wear, tearing, or peeling. Therefore, it is important to
invest in garments that have undergone thorough testing to ensure their durability.
At Portwest, we conduct rigorous wash testing on our high visibility garments,
subjecting them to up to 50 home washes. This surpasses the industry standard of
only 5 washes as required by ANSI/ISEA 107 and CSA Z96.
Following 50 home washes, our garments at Portwest demonstrate exceptional
durability and performance.
